“La Palapa de Don Margaro”– An experience worth having
We visited “La Palapa de Don Margaro”, our friend Abdiel’s place, located on Miguel Hidalgo Street between Naranjo and Álamos, very close to Sinaloa. Zayret Duar and I went to check out how good this spot really is… and honestly, we were impressed!
We ordered a mixed aguachile (shrimp and scallops)
, the signature tostada “La Torre de Don Margaro”
, and of course, their specialty: fried fish
. Everything was fresh, well presented, and perfectly seasoned—no need to add anything extra, just pair it with one of their delicious house salsas.
To drink, we enjoyed some refreshing micheladas
and a cantarito, Jalisco-style
, the perfect refresher.
They also offer a great variety of beers to choose from.
The atmosphere is super pleasant, with a kids’ area
, parking space
, and outstanding service that makes you feel at home, thanks to the owner himself who takes care of every detail.
We definitely want to come back to try more dishes, but from what we had, it’s clear why this place has such a strong reputation as one of the best seafood spots in town on Google.
